Comparison of the cumulative incidence of cholangitis in biliary atresia patients with and without liver transplantation

Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test were used to compare the accumulated incidence of cholangitis after Kasai portoenterostomy (KP) between biliary atresia patients with and without liver transplantation (P = 0.900). On Cox proportional hazards regression modeling, adjusting for the variable of KP before 60 days of age, the cumulative incidence was still not significant (HR 1.1; 95% CI 0.9–1.5)
