  2. The cord results are statistically lower than the peripheral results (p = 0.0008). This also holds true among the non-deficient subgroup of patients (p < 0.001) but NOT among the deficient neonates (p = 0.3711 and p = 0.8001 using cut-off of 5.7 and 8.05 U/g Hb respectively)
  3. aPearson chi2 test did not reveal any significant difference in the proportion of G6PD deficient neonates between cord and peripheral blood samples
