  1. # Culture from one patient grew four organisms (Klebsiella spp, Escherichia coli, a viridans Streptococcus and Staphylococcus aureus), culture from another patient grew two organisms (an unnamed viridans Streptococcus and Streptococcus gordomitis). Both had a positive PCR-result and were diagnosed with sepsis based on additional clinical and laboratory findings.
  2. * One of these patients had an inconclusive PCR.
