Background activity classification of aEEG was carried out according to the scoring system developed by Burdjalov and colleagues(see the left table). aEEG was conducted 48 h (1st aEEG), 1wk (2nd aEEG), 2wk (3rd aEEG) and 3wk (4th aEEG) after surgery in surgNEC or after diagnosis in medNEC.
