Oxidation rate of 4 different MEGS incubations containing [1-14C] pyruvate in cultivated skin fibroblasts. Patient group consists of 8 patients (P1, P2, P4, P6, P7, and P9–P11) with complex I deficiency and heteroplasmic mutations in MT-ND1, MT-ND3 and MT-ND5 genes. Control group consists of 10 age-related controls. In the group of patients, oxidation rate of all four displayed MEGS incubations are significantly decreased (*p < 0.05).
