  2. *R95: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is a sub-classification of R00–99: Other/unknown causes of death. 88% of deaths (150/171) in R00–99 are attributed to SIDS. SIDS only applies to children <1 year but its relatively high mortality rate makes it the 5th most common cause of death in children aged 0–14 years.
